Celebrating 3 years

Three years ago today, Dr. Keener and I opened EuDoc Direct Primary Care with a mission to bring quality primary care which was accessible to all. Frustrated by a healthcare system that was failing both patients and doctors, we decided to create something different. When we worked in the system, we witnessed rushed appointments that left patients feeling unheard, mandates by administration which burned out doctors while preventing any form of personalized care for patients, and constant games with insurance companies that put profits over people. We knew we had to create a better, truly patient-centered solution.

Our name places the Greek prefix “Eu,” meaning good or well (like in euphoria), with doc, short for doctor. The pronunciation  “You-Doc” emphasizes the direct doctor-patient relationship free from third party interference. From its inception, our practice was built to be accessible to everyone, focused on building strong doctor-patient relationships, and free from the constraints of insurance-driven care. We wanted to offer transparent pricing, centered on prevention and overall well-being. Over the last three years, we’ve stayed true to our initial mission. We’ve also taken pride in becoming advocates for our members, helping them navigate the complex healthcare system and preventing unnecessary urgent care visits.

Even with our mission, we were new doctors in a new community with a new model, unsure how the community would receive us. What truly warms our hearts is how the Chesterfield and greater Richmond community has embraced EuDoc. To our members, we give a huge thank you for your trust and support, and that goes triple for those who have been with us since the beginning. As we look to the future, we're more committed than ever to our mission. We continue to prove that quality, personalized healthcare isn't just a dream – it's a reality we're building every day.
